Aubrey Peoples is an American actress and singer. She is best recognized for her roles as Layla Grant in the drama series Nashville (2012) and Claudia Shepard in Sharknado (2013). She also played the lead role of Jerrica “Jem” Benton in the film Jem and the Holograms (2015).

Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary, Florida, to her parents, Wendy and Ashley. She has a sister, Ellie. Growing up, Aubrey performed with the Orlando Repertory Theater for ten years. She graduated from Lake Mary Preparatory School, where she served as valedictorian of the school’s 2012 graduating class. Harvard admitted her but agreed to enroll twice, the second time to accept her position in Nashville.

Peoples guest-starred on Drop Dead Diva (2009), Burn Note (2007), Austin & Ally (2011), Grey’s Anatomy (2005), and Guest appearance in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared in the TV movies Ventura: Pet Detective (2009) and Good Mom.
