Bhavana, also known by her stage name Karthika Menon, is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films. Bhavana made her film debut in the 2002 Malayalam film Nammal. During her career, she has acted in over 80 films and has won two Kerala State Film Awards, including a special mention for Nammal.

At the age of 16, she acted in the Malayalam film Nammal as Bhavana alongside newcomers Sidharth Bharathan, Jishnu and Renuka Menon. After the success of the film, she received many offers for Malayalam films. Bhavana won many awards for the film, including the Kerala Special Jury Award. At that time, she was a student of Class 11 when she made her debut in the film.

In 2010, she starred in her first Kannada film Jackie opposite Puneeth Rajkumar, which was a huge success. Due to the success of the film, it was also dubbed into Telugu and Malayalam.

Bhavana is rumoured to be starring in a Bollywood film with Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan. Her second Kannada film Vishnuvardhana with Sudeep premiered to great acclaim.

She acted in the Malayalam films Ozhimuri and Trivandrum Lodge in 2012, and Honey Bee and Ezhamathe Varavu in 2013.

She played the role of Roshni Mathew, a single mother working in an IT company, in Shyamaprasad’s crime thriller Ivide, which revolves around the serial murders of IT professionals in major cities in the U.S. In 2016, she starred in a film with Benedict Doray.
