Boris Kodjoe is a famous American actor, producer and former model born in Austria. He is best known for his roles as Kelbie in the film Brown Sugar (2002), Damon Carter in the Showtime television series Soul Food (TV series, 2000-04), and in The Last Man on Earth People” (TV series, 2015).

He co-starred in the reality television series Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013-16) and the spin-off Station 19 (TV, 2018) of Grey’s Anatomy (TV, 2005). His parents separated when he was six years old and he grew up near Freiburg. He has a brother, Patrick, and two sisters, Nadja and Laura.

Boris Kodjoe attended Virginia Commonwealth University on a tennis scholarship and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1996. In 1995, TLC featured him in the music video for Red Light Special.

He tied for third with a 66, but a back injury ended his tennis dreams. His brother, Patrick Kodjoe, plays for the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) basketball team. But he soon signed on as a model and soon entered showbiz. In 2002, People magazine listed him as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People in the World.”

In October 2005, he played David Taylor in the film “The Gospel”. Boris Kodjo also starred in a drama called Whatever She Wants (2008) and appeared in the fifth season of Nip/Tuck (TV series, 2003-10). He had a supporting role in the science fiction film Agents (2009).

In 2012, he joined Susannah Grant’s TV series Members Only (TV, 2014-15) as a series regular, but the series was never published.
