Joanna Noëlle Levesque is known professionally as “JoJo”. She is a famous American singer, songwriter and actress. She grew up in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where she began competing in singing competitions and local talent shows at an early age.

Profession

After she appeared on the television show America’s Most Talented Kids, she was noticed by record producer Vincent Herbert. Herbert invited her to audition for his record label, Blackground Records. She signed with them in 2003 and released her self-titled debut studio album the following year in June 2004. The album peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 chart and was subsequently certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, with global sales of over 4 million copies to date.

JoJo released her debut single “Get Out” in 2004, which topped the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. At the age of 13, she became the youngest solo artist to have a chart-topping record. The song peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the RIAA, and its follow-up single “Baby It’s You” was also certified gold.

She subsequently released her second studio album, The High Road (2006), which also saw her debut single “Too Little Too Late” enter the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three, becoming her The first single to be certified platinum by the RIAA. The album was later certified gold and has sold over three million copies worldwide to date.

By 2007, JoJo had sold more than 7 million records worldwide, including 2.1 million albums, and had 4 million digital downloads in the United States alone. In addition to her music career, JoJo also has an acting career. In 2006, she appeared in the movies “Aquamarine” and “RV” and guest-starred in the TV show “Romeo!” ” (2006).
