Kevin Sorbo is an outstanding American actor. He is best known for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (TV series, 1995) and Andromeda (TV series, 2000). He rose to fame for his performances in the Christian dramas God’s Not Dead (2014) and Let There Be Light (2017).
Sorbo originates from Norway. He was raised in a Lutheran home and attended Minnesota State University-Moorhead. To pay for school, he double majored in marketing and advertising and worked as a model for print and television commercials.
In the mid-1980s, he traveled throughout Europe and Australia, filming television commercials and working as a print model. By the early 1990s, he had appeared in more than 150 commercials, including for Jim Beam Bourbon. During this time, he had occasional acting roles, making his acting debut in an episode of “Santa Barbara” in 1986.
