Shamita Shetty started her acting career in 2000 with her first Bollywood film Mohabatein. Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan play important roles in the film.

She subsequently starred in “Bewafaa” (2005) and “Cash” (2007). She subsequently participated in several reality television shows, including Bigg Boss 3 (2009) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (2015).

She has also participated in the stunt show Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 (2019) and the gaming reality show series Bigg Boss OTT (2021) and Bigg Boss 15 (2021-2022).

As a dancer, she has performed in many hit songs in Bollywood, including “Sharara Sharara” in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2001) and “Chori Pe Chori” in Saathiya (2002), and for the film Zeher ( 2005), for which she was nominated for the Stardust Award for Female Starlet of the Year (2006).

She collaborated with her sister Shilpa Shetty in a film titled “Fareb”. Additionally, her song “Mind Blowing Mahiya” was a hit in the multi-starrer Cash (2007).
